PRAYER
We love prayer. Prayer is something that God is attentive to and helps us with. It is a divinely ordained means of fellowship with God which results in change in the person praying as well as being a catalyst for change in the world. Jesus expressed an expectation that those who followed Him should pray, and His prayer of “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done” is a constant prayer that we make for our city.
Changing London Through Prayer
Although we love London we know that it has many challenges and is not the city that God intends it to be. However, we believe prayer results in things changing. Activism and thoughtful responses to London's issues are important, but it is ultimately a change in the spiritual condition of the city and those within it that will bring transformation and the justice and peace that is found in God's kingdom.
Establishing continuous, effective prayer in and for London
London Prayer works across the church traditions and recognises the diversity of prayer that exists. It is together that continuous, effective prayer will develop in communities and as we pray in our streets. London Prayer assists those wanting to grow in an understanding of Christian prayer who may desire to see rhythms of more effective prayer in their own lives and engage in prayer within their localities.
