“For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest on the land allotted to the righteous”
Psalm 125:3
The earth is the Lord’s and everything within it. However, through sin, the powers of wickedness seek to exercise rule over people’s lives and our city. This wonderful promise is an invitation for us to enforce the authority and rule of the Kingdom of God over our land. God wants to redeem the very land we live from the taint of wickedness, not just those who live in it.
Prayer: Apply this verse to an area that you have been praying for. What wickedness do you recognise in that area that you want to see diminish?
Lord, I thank you that Jesus died that the whole world and I declare today this written judgement of God over (name an area you are believing for). I thank you that the rule of wickedness and its exercise of authority shall not continue in this place and I ask that Your Kingdom would come in greater measure there. Amen
